Eclipse Single Ended Radiant Tube Burner (SER)
The Eclipse low NOx SER V5 burner provides the best fuel efficiency of anything in its class. It's compact design incorporates both the burner & the recuperator. Setup and installation is easy. Because it includes a burner and an advanced recuperator co-axially mounted inside a radiant tube, the SER V5 transfers combustion exhaust heat right back to the burner's air supply, providing high preheat temperature. The recuperator’s high efficiency design with a unique dual-fin combuster provides an increased heat transfer surface, leading to even greater fuel efficiency. This recuperative tube burner offers excellent heat flux and uniform heating.

  1. The Eclipse SER Self-recuperative design eliminates the need for external
  2. recuperators and insulated piping
  3. Integral air and gas orifices with rear access allow for convenient
  4. set-up, monitoring & maintenance
  5. Nitrogen Oxide emissions may see better than 50% reduction over conventional
  6. recuperative burners
  7. By Improving tube temperature uniformity, Eclipse has increased tube life
  8. By insulating the mounting flange & exhaust housing, heat
  9. recovery is increased, allowing for a much cooler work environment
  10. Up to 40% lighter than previous SER models & competitive burners
  11. Can be mounted horizontally or vertically.
  12. There is a reduced strain the the walls and roof of the furnace.
Typical applications include:
  • Indirect fired furnaces
  • Tempering
  • Hardening
  • Continuous lines
  • Annealing
  • Galvanizing

Exceptional performance

The SER cuts fuel costs from 35% to 55% over sealed ambient air burners. The saving is even greater when replacing atmospheric type burners.

Metallic Outer Tube Option For furnace temperatures up to 1850˚F (1000˚C), the SER is available with metallic outer tubes with diameters of 4-1/2”, 6” and 8” (114mm, 152mm and 200mm).

Ceramic Outer Tube Option

The ceramic outer tube option is also available, enabling the SER to be operated at elevated furnace temperatures, up to twice the heat output of metallic tubes in some applications. This may reduce the total number of burners burners required. Ceramic outer tubes yeild extended tube life and reduced maintenance
